I need a GPRS GPS with the ability to send data back to the station to develop an application AVL.?
Does anyone have a suggestion. If the GPS communicate with the base station via VHF and GSM / GPRS, the solution is acceptable.
Some cell phones offer this helium (, nextel, etc.) but I can not specifically models GPRS / GSM. There are lots of products that do this for tracking fleets (trucks, etc) to report through links in the cell. Again I do not know the specifics of using RF technology. I suggest you take a look at something like http://www.gpsfleetsolutions.com/ Could AVL clarify what is meant?
