What is the difference between the Garmin eTrex Vista CX GPSMAP 60 CSX?
Does anyone know the difference performance-wise between these 2 models? I've seen a comparison chart, but could find nothing that would explain the price difference … Looking for a handheld GPS topographic maps to load on it (for hiking). Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I have a Vista HCx and really like the increased sensitivity of the receiver (the H in the name). The Views are smaller to carry. The CX is not as sensitive a receiver, but the batteries last longer. More sensitivity may be important if you are under heavy forest cover. With the X models, can pack a lot of maps on a micro SD card. A 2 gig card only costs about $ 30. I recommend going to the Garmin's website and send your support group the question. They know that some of the details that are not evident in the specifications. You can also download the manuals the site and get an idea of other differences in the displays.
